This page explains how to delete your Mad Chatter Live account (published on Google Play and the App Store by Mad Chatter), how to delete specific data without closing your account, exactly what is removed, and what we keep.
Only the device that holds your handle can do this. Lost the device? Use the email request below.
| Data | On account deletion |
|---|---|
| Your @handle record: display name, email address, device sign-in token, availability settings, referral code | Deleted immediately |
| Call recaps and the notes you typed to generate them | Deleted immediately |
| Incoming-call (ring) history | Deleted immediately |
| Our copy of your subscription status | Deleted immediately. Apple / Google / our billing processor keep their own purchase records under their policies; cancel the subscription in your store account. |
| Live video and audio from calls | Never stored — streamed in real time only, nothing to delete. |
| The @handle name itself | Retired permanently — the name is kept, with nothing personal attached, so nobody else can ever claim your old address. Links you already shared can never reach a stranger. You cannot get the handle back either. |
| Founder-programme claim ledger (handle + email for claims made on our website) | Kept for programme accounting, but your email address is removed from it automatically when you delete your account. |
| Abuse reports filed about a handle (handle, reason, note — no reporter identity) | Kept for safety and moderation. |
| Anonymous usage events (e.g. page views, claim attempts) and short-lived security logs (hashed IP for rate limiting) | Kept — not linked to a deleted account; security logs expire automatically. |
| Transactional emails we sent you (codes, receipts) | Kept by our email provider for a limited period under its retention policy, then purged. |
There is no additional retention period for deleted account data beyond the items marked “Kept” above.
